As a self described, "Spirit Science Mystic and Shamanic Em Cee from South Africa Worldwide builder" The sounds of Rev Sum 1 Else is definitely something else. With a Bone Thugs vibe, the lyrics are literally next level in a spiritual plane. Rev Sum 1's crew definitely have read some books and it is no surprise he literally has a whole anthology of albums (displayed in gallery below) which he recently uploaded on our digital catalouge and can now stream on the site. Born Senzoh (Songezo) Sozoyi ka Lembede on the 20th day of September in the year 1983 at the Village of Nhlaza in Libode in the EC… Holds family roots in Pinetown KZN… Left Libode for Umtata at the end of 1992… Grew up reading and experimenting on almost everything, Debating and spending most of the time alone… Fell in love with Hip Hop in 1993 after listening to a young boy duo by the name of Kriss Kross… Proceeded to listening to more Hip Hop/Rap moguls including 2pac, Junior Maffia, Wu Tang, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Rum DMC, NWA to mention a few… Left Umtata for Maluti in 1995… Introduced to KRS ONE by my Grade 7 homey Langa in 1996 with the Mixtape KRS ONE…

Started writing own lyrics in 1997 through that KRS ONE inspiration, and the first recording done was in 1998, recorded at Guidanz Records by Mpa (Lyan) and perfomed at One of the biggest events at that time at Maluti College hosted by the legendary ANC, perfoming alongside Bonanza, Public Enemies (Kokstad) the least remembered… Back home to KZN in 2001 and by then already migrated to Clermont, Top Rank in Durban… Met Simon Terror 7, Dinny (EL) and Shaylen (DBN) in 2002 at Technikon Natal and formed the crew Underground Assault Crew better known by UAC… The crew had an unsuccessful run, perfoming only twice in 7 months and Simon Terror 7 quittin the mic and ghostwriting making the crew to go solo… Left the crew early in 2003 and stood solo… Performed alongside Black Noise at the Bling Free Sessions, performed at the launch of Amu’s Life, Rap and Drama alongside Ingwenya, DC Crew, Izimbongi, Nimphonic Bastards of the Universe, Rahim, Siyametic to mention a few… Finalist at the Bling Free Battle of the Year... 2004 went to Germany with Black Noise via RedBull Music Academy for Music workshops… Performed around Durban slots Bat Centre, Skyy Bar, Heads n Dreads, Albert Park, DUT, Workshop Bus Terminals, making Oneness with the likes of BLSTK, Hobonoid, Lee, Abdus, Shon G, Indlondlo, Easy West to mention a few… Participated at The Coca Cola Pop Stars and withdrew on the semifinals due to school… 2005 battled with Ill Will (Chicago) at Tropicale (Albert park DBN) and perfromed at the same set with him (Ill Will), Likwid KZN, Rahim, Bullet, NBOTU, Shon G, Mike G, FT, Hobonoid & BLSTK, Lexikon to list a few… Went to Holland alongside Zulu Boy for a Hip Hop workshop via RedBull Music Academy… Performed at Havana Lounge alongside H2O, Optical Illusion and Aligator MC (Likwid KZN)… Participated at the Nik Naks R30 000 Challenge and lost in the KZN Semifinals… Refused an offer from Fusion Records (LX Seth) after appearing on DYR FM with the 2004 track Who am I, which always played at the opening of the Hip Hop Sessions at that station, sessions driven by 2daXha and Swiss Cheddar Cheese… Appeared in Hype Magazine 5th Edition… Appeared in Shiz Niz alongside Paradox, BlackSmith, Element, Tyzo, Tape Deck and Siya and perfromed at Black Sunday Sessions and Slaghuis Sessions in Soweto and The Dome (JHB CBD)… 2006 Opened for Guru (Gangstaar) at the World Hip Hop Summit held in JHB, alongside Zulu Boy… Performed alongside F Ezzy, LUS, Abdus, Musa Mission, Tripple M, Ewok, PaperCutt, Black Moss, Formula (NBOTU), DJ Azhul, Ready D, Mr Fats, Qba at DUT Hip Hop Sessions… Performed at the Rand Easter Show in PMB along Hidden Force, Nthabi, Reason, H2O, Zulu Boy, Rahim, Lexicon to mention a few… Refused an offer from Native Rhythms Records due to their terms… Left Durban for Maluti by mid 2007 and started Do or Die Sessions together with Mr No Rulz (L Hero)… Discovered Dee and Pesta and made them a duo called D Tox which was later joined by And E & T Cubed (Tass Crew), Flick and Chris Bee (Killa Beez), General and Mr SecC (Ghetto Life), Jason, Puzzle and Dax (Atlanta Mobb), Coin and the only femCee Mandy and the crew was now named Mic Desciples (MDs) which dropped the Album Eclipse in 2009 That was the 1st and last from MDs due to most members leaving town for further studies… Created A.S.O.H.K as a studio and dropped the 1st compilation titled Welcome to A.S.O.H.K featuring Ngcosi, Kwazi B, PUK, Motho, HipVillaz, Sebaco, Lil Angel, Mr No Rulz and many more… Performed in PE with Mr No Rulz alongside Qalazive, Mkapakapa, Yahkeem, DJ Sebz, Intloko Zenyoka, Abantu, Simbone and many more and went live at Umhlobo wenene FM set hosted by Luckeez… Released the Documentary Welcome to A.S.O.H.K co hosted by Flick (Kaz), cams by Fat Chap (The Macai) at Will’Do Productions… Released Asohkalypsession Home of the Brave StreeTape vs StreeTFootage featuring Mo Life, Ngcosi, MDs, Mnesh, Skontiri, M Boy (Magnanimous B), TR, Crichton Crew, Mr No Rulz, Lil Angel, Gagasi and many more… Released In Loving Memory (Senzoh Els jnr) on the 16th of June 2011 under LBC Fam.
